RANGE POSITION DESCRIPTION -- Extremely desirable applicant has previous 2W150, 2W170 or 2W050, 2W070 experience. One of the primary responsibilities will be to create and submit the Annual Weapons Forecast for the Air Force, Navy and Marines in support of the Joint Operational Test Team (JOTT). In addition the applicant will perform the preflight and post-flight weapons inspections on the F-35A, F-35B & F-35C when loaded with munitions. Applicant will also perform preflight and post-flight inspections on aircraft not loaded with munitions. The incumbent will be required to perform and initiate munitions Built in Test (BIT), record maintenance data, and reprogram munitions Operational Flight Program (OFP) software on wide range of common and advanced munitions. This will include MIL-STD-1760 smart munitions and Non MIL-STD-1760 munitions. Examples are, Joint Direct Attack Munition, (JDAM) Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM), AIM-9X ATM, CATM, CTM, NATM as well as next generation weapon systems such as the Small Diameter Bomb. The incumbent will also be responsible for the proper set-up, operation, and tear-down of all associated test equipment. Current proficiency in the operations and use of the Common Munitions BIT Reprogramming Equipment (CMBRE+) Plus test equipment is highly desirable. Familiar with 6 Degrees of Freedom TM unit is desired but not required. Will perform Flight Termination System (FTS) checks when required on the aircraft. Perform aircraft preflight and post-flight inspections on weapon loaded aircraft and non-weapon loaded aircraft. The applicant will also update database applications that track weapons and flight hours. Will be required to operate/drive Government Vehicles and other ground support equipment on the flightline and in the shop/hangar. REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE -Bachelor's degree or higher or any combination of formal education, training and experience equivalent to eight years involvement in technically demanding program assignments. Must have demonstrated supervisory knowledge and skills in resource organization and allocation, planning and budgeting, continuous quality and process improvement, setting and measurement of program goals, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have demonstrated technical knowledge in the areas of the program's emphasis. Position may require travel. Must qualify for and maintain a Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
