Position Summary:

The Medical Copywriter will produce recruitment, engagement, and health literacy content for
the All of Us Research Program at the Scripps Research Translational Institute (SRTI) with the
SRTI team. A core theme will be telling the personal stories of lives transformed by precision
medicine.

SRTI team. A core theme will be telling the personal stories of lives transformed by precision
medicine.

Location: San Diego, California

Physical Requirements:

With or without reasonable accommodation, employees in this position must be able to sit and type at a computer terminal for up to 8 hours per day with appropriate breaks and perform tasks that require fine dexterity and repetitive motions using the arms, hands, wrists and fingers. Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in health sciences, health policy, public health, medical/scientific communication, medical/scientific journalism or health literacy.

2+ years of scientific copywriting experience.

Demonstrated personal storytelling experience or interest.

Empathetic approach to understanding the latest health news and telling other people’s personal stories.

Demonstrated medical writing skills including interpreting and organizing scientific data.

Experience with conducting literature searches and writing manuscripts.

Demonstrated ability to produce polished deliverables that present content visually in a clear, compelling way.

Experience with health newsletter campaigns or publications.

Confident in ability to communicate verbally and present to senior level stakeholders.
