Job Description

Support our Environmental Remediation practice and have a hand in transforming tomorrow.

As an Environmental Geologist/Hydrogeologist, you'll have a chance to help restore environmentally impaired sites for federal and commercial clients on the west coast. Working with other members of the team, you'll support projects aimed at site characterization and remediation for a variety of government and private-sector clients. During your time with us, you will support the current project managers in preparing for field activities, writing reports including remedial investigation reports. You'll perform analysis of data from sampling, reports, maps, drawings, or other sources to support site characterization efforts including well installations, groundwater sampling, soil vapor intrusion sampling, and remediation. You will complete technical writing with peer review and present data and evaluations in a clear and concise manner as well as contribute to the development of regulatory reporting technical documents (work plans, environmental investigation reports, and remedial designs). Minimum qualifications: 
  • BS in geology, hydrogeology, engineering, environmental science, or a closely related field.  
  • At least 5 years of environmental consulting experience. 
  • Experience with implementing and conducting environmental investigations and or remediation, and/or performing well installations and soil vapor intrusion sampling. 
  • Familiarity with California state and federal regulations. 
  • Knowledge of CERCLA regulatory processes.  
  • HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain and maintain.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience: 
  • MS in geology, hydrogeology, engineering, environmental science or a closely related field. 
  • Professional certification (PE, PG, PMP).  
  • Someone already in the Southern California area is preferred. 
  • Able to work in extreme hot desert conditions as required. 
  • Experience in soil sampling containing asbestos and munitions constituents (MC). 
  • OSHA 30 HR construction training and experience with EM-385.
  • Excellent team building skills.  
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). 
  • Specific training, knowledge, and experience necessary to develop, review, and implement various work plans and quality assurance project plans including accident prevention plans.
