Quality Control Manager
This manager implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations, inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services or operation for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing on-going work for compliance with contractual provisions; ensures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner, specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished, communicates deficiencies to proper persons, maintains Quality Control files, and document results of all inspections. The QC manager implements policies and procedures in order to comply with regulatory compliance and corporate policies.
The Quality Control Manager (QCM) (alternately referred to as the construction quality control or CQC) is responsible to implement and manage the Quality Control Program. The QCM is required to perform the three phases of control, perform submittal review and approval, ensure testing is performed and provide QC certification and documentation required in this contract.
- Minimum of earned Bachelors of Science degree in Civil, Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Have completed the course entitle “Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors” and shall maintain a current course certificate.
- Be familiar with requirements of USACE EM 385-1-1, and experience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance and sustainability.
- Have 7 years (within the last 10 years) of combined experience as a Superintendent, Project Manager, or Project Engineer on similar size and type construction contract and at least 5 years’ experience as Construction Quality Control (CQC).
