We have a full time Sherlter Case Manager position open at our Luhman Center in El Cajon.

The Shelter Case Manager will perform evidence based case management responsibilities including assessment, service coordination, treatment plans, and home visits. This position will also supervise the Intake Coordinator and Shelter Case Aides and oversee the intake, screening, data entry and reporting of the homeless programs. General tasks will include typing, filing, and photocopying, answering, screening and documenting incoming telephone calls and data entry as well as training and supervising. This position is responsible for generating daily and monthly reports for all homeless programs; will conduct shelter resident informational meetings; maintain and update the Informational Bulletin Board. Assumes delegated responsibilities for Program Supervisor, as directed.

Skills / Requirements

Bachelor‚s degree in Social Work, Behavioral Health, or other Social Services related field, a minimum of three years experience in a related position, be able to pass a finger printing with Community Care Licensing, in addition:

1. Must be computer literate, using word processing software, and spreadsheet software, with ability to type and complete data entry.
2. Skilled in professional telephone techniques.
3. Ability to operate independently under minimal supervision.
4. Knowledge and experience in providing evidence based case management
5. Must have knowledge of and ability to develop and work effectively with community resources and Social Service agencies
6. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and professionally both orally and in writing
7. Knowledge of and ability to follow professional ethics, confidentiality, and boundaries with clients
8. Must possess organizational skills.
9. Proficient in proper client file documentation and maintenance.
10. Must demonstrate competency for meeting contract compliance and outcomes.
11. Ability to supervise, train, and delegate tasks to employees and interns.
12. Must have ability to interact with facility staff, the public and program participants.
13. Must possess a valid California Driver‚s License.
14. Must obtain TB/Physical (w/in 7 Days) of employment.
15. Must obtain CPR/1st Aide (w/in 3 months) of employment, and maintain it during entire employment.
