Senior User Experience Designer

The qualified design candidate will work independently and with other team members to help shape the future of online payments. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of design in respect to creating simple, elegant, aesthetically pleasing interfaces based on user-center design principles. This person will be responsible for all stages of user experience design throughout the product lifecycle ensuring a compelling look and feel that meets branding, business and user requirements (spanning user interface, interaction and visual design). Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills are a must. Our compensation is commensurate with experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Working closely with a cross-functional team to assess product requirements, the designer will translate requirements into concepts and elegant user design, interaction models, user task flows, screen designs, and UI details that promote ease of use and optimize the user experience for various online payment products
• Organize these design details into a complete user experience design specification to be used as a blueprint for development
• Work closely with user research team members to better understand the user by testing the usability of features and conceptual designs
• Have practical experience employing user centered design methods
• Have a good understanding of executing to Brand to influence a rich user experience for a global market.
• Be self-motivated and able to make logical decisions to ensure the overall success of the project by creating designs that seamlessly address customer and business concerns and objectives
• Keep abreast of current design tools, techniques and methodologies
• Be willing to challenge traditional design thinking and look for new and innovative ways to approach design projects and improve streamline the user experience

Position Requirements:

• At least 5+ years of appropriate professional industry experience designing GUIs for websites and web applications, or Master's Degree with at least 3+ years of professional experience, or Doctorate with at least 1+ years of experience
• Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or other related discipline, advanced degree preferred
• Solid working experience with design tools including Adobe Creative Suite, Visio, etc.
• Experience with international and localization design considerations
• Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills working within cross-functional teams
• Working knowledge of design and typography principles
• Online portfolio required

"Nice to Have" Skills:

Experience designing payment solutions for consumers and businesses

• Ability to create personas, profiles, and use case scenarios
• Ability to rapidly prototype designs in hand-coded HTML
