Typical Responsibilities:
This position will be in the Security Division within Southern California Edison‚s (SCE) San Onofre Nuclear Generation Station (SONGS). The successful candidate will develop, implement and refine Security Defensive Strategy and tactics for the station to meet the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) 10 CFR part 73 requirement and industry best practices.

Skills / Requirements

Typical responsibilities will include:
* Identifying and developing, resolving complex security issues with the Physical Strategy Plan (PSP), Safeguards Contingency Plan (SCP) and Training and Qualification Plan (T&Q).
* Managing strategy and tactics related decisions for security operations, training and compliance projects/programs, including benchmarking industry best practices and using regulatory guidance for direction.
* Representing and leading the company with selection of infrastructure equipment and specialty gear to support 10 CFR 73 when dealing with contractors, suppliers, regulatory agencies, customers, and other departments.
* Evaluating, developing, and implementing Contingency and Response Plans/Procedures for responding to matters related to plant physical security.
* Participating in the evaluation and implementation of strategies related to the NRC and Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) task forces and conferences.
* Acting as a Security Physical Security key consultant to senior management.
* Participating as a member of the Emergency Response Organization.
* Maintaining a safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
* Performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Basic Qualification:
* Must have at least five years of experience developing and implanting the physical security strategies for multiple commercial nuclear sites.

Job Requirements:
* Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business or Technical Discipline or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
* Typically possesses seven or more years of experience developing and implanting the physical security strategies for multiple commercial nuclear sites.
* Demonstrated experience providing direction and making strategic decisions regarding the security plans, contingency plans, and training and qualification plans.
* Demonstrated experience working with contractors, suppliers, regulatory agencies, customers, and other departments.
* Demonstrated experience developing, implementing and refining security strategies and tactics.
* Demonstrated experience evaluating, developing, and implementing contingency and response plans and/or procedures for responding to matters related to plant physical security.
* Demonstrated knowledge of NRC 10 CFR part 73.
* Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Demonstrated ability to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
* Must demonstrate the ability to integrate work across relevant areas, develop the business and services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage risks appropriately, develop and execute business plans, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
* Must demonstrate effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.
* Must demonstrate strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to effectively manage stress and engage in continuous learning.
