Job: Screen Print Operator

Jobing Description

5.11 is currently seeking a Screen Print Operator for our 3rd shift operation from approximately 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Monday through Friday with Saturday work as needed. The Screen Print Operator is responsible for the following duties:

* Reads work order to determine type and location of screen print.

* Reviews order for garment style, sizes, due date and quantities prior to beginning production.

* Selects and/or mixes ink and loads it into screens.

* Registers screens on press to accurately match designs to customer proof.

* Regulates machine settings.

* Loads and unloads garments at a steady repetitive rate.

* Manually screen prints t-shirts when necessary.

* Observes press operation to detect defects in printing that indicate machine malfunction and notifies supervisor of malfunction.

* Repairs defective screen print or fills in blanks left by machine.

* Removes screens from press and gives to re-claimer.

Must have a working knowledge of screen printing along with knowledge of automatic screen print machines. Minimum of 2 years experience in a screen print facility performing press operations. If no experience at an operator level, then the individual must be a quick learner who has excellent follow up skills to see tasks through to completion. Candidates must be able to read and comprehend work orders in English.
