Position Description:

This position supports the data services function of the OptumInsight Clinical Performance & Compliance (CPC) Data Services Department. This individual will have primary responsibility for the SAS data mart production environment including, but not limited to, data acquisition, data refreshes, QA/QC, and research to ensure completeness and quality of the data. This individual will be interacting with fully implemented clients, various United Health Group IT organizations and CP&C functional areas on a regular basis. Positions in this function use advanced SAS programs to maintain the production environment and use analytical tools to provide specialized data analysis. Other primary responsibilities include identification/resolution of potential client data issues. Ensures data environment is refreshed timely and accurately according to production schedule. Supports and interacts daily with the development team to understand and gather business requirements. Supports other team members with complex SAS programs and data issues.

Skills / Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree


• 2+ years of experience with SAS


• 1+ years of experience with Proc SQL


• 2+ years of experience with MS Excel

Assets:

• Masters Degree a plus


• Experience in Healthcare Insurance Industry


• Experience working with large data sets


• Experience with data analysis and quality control processes


• Strong experience with Windows 7, MS Office 2007 and 2010 a plus
