Location: California-San Diego

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems sector is seeking a Mgr. Engineering 3, Firebird Air Vehicle IPT Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, Ca.

Transforming the future of technology in Unmanned Systems. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Firebird program at the Unmanned Systems Development Center in San Diego, CA. Firebird is a high technology UAS program developing next generation capabilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* As Firebird Air Vehicle (A/V) IPT Manager, you will be responsible for the technical execution of the System Design and Development effort.

* Responsible for the Cost and Schedule of the Design and Development effort.

* Responsible for EVMS and Risk Managment for the Product Development effort.

* Responsible for working with Program Management and Functional Homeroom to staff and de-staff program resources as required.

* Will run an organization consisting of 70 Engineers reporting up through three IPT Managers.

Skills / Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

* Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace).

* 12 or more years of Aircraft Design and Development experience

* 3 or more years of IPT Leadership experience

* 2 or more years of CAM and EVMS experience

* Position requires a current Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

* Masters Degree in Engineering

* Experience with Aircraft Composites Structures Design/Development

* 3 or more years of Managment Level experience.

* Position prefers a candidate with a current Secret Clearance
