Tel Tech Networks, Inc. is currently seeking a Lead Technician in the greater southern California area for service and installation projects. Candidate should have structured cabling experience in voice/data, CCTV and paging systems. Candidate must be a motivated self starter who can work independently and find solutions to get jobs done. Essential duties and responsibilities consist of but are not limited to:
* Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, splices and tests telecommunications cables (Cat 5, 5e, 6, 6a, Coax and Fiber Optics) and telecommunications components.
* Build Telecommunications rooms
* Install grounding infrastructures
* Acquires job information from Project Manager for assigned projects
* Assist PM on assigned jobs. This includes performing labor, supervising technicians, quality control, and maintaining all job integrity.
* Submit daily white sheets to PM, insuring proper completion and correct information.
* Obtain approval from PM for all Change Orders.
* Interface with Project Manager for Delivery and Pick Up of all aerial lifts. This includes making PM aware when the lifts are no longer needed
* Accept responsibility of testing all cables with a cat 5 or newer tester. Relay tester results to PM
* Communicate employee related issues with PM or Operations Manager.
* Maintain professional courtesy, attitude, behavior and always deliver excellent customer service.
* Travel long distances with occasional out of state and/or overnight stays
* Flexible, willing to work on call, day or night shift as jobs require.

Skills / Requirements

* 2+ years voice/data structured cabling experience
* Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
* Must possess a valid State issued Drivers License with a good MVD driving record
* Knowledgeable of industry standards (NEC, TIA/EIA, BICSI)
* Ability to perform site surveys and develop scope of work and materials list
* Ability to consistently complete projects within budget, on time and in a safe manner
* Must possess a high school diploma or GED
* Great verbal and written communication skills, Excellent customer relationship skills
* Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by the Company and OSHA
* Maintain the company?s high standard of quality and professionalism with regards to workmanship, customer relations, coworkers, behavior and appearance
* Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign

Preferred
* Any industry specific certifications a huge plus (BICSI, Commscope, Systimax, Panduit, Beldon, Corning)
* Technical/Computer Skill
* Basic Mathematical Skills
* Have own Truck , SUV or Van
* Experience in server rooms, data centers, and command / control center
* Experience working in retail environments
