Senior Property Accountant

SmartStop Storage Advisors, LLC is seeking a Senior Property Accountant for its Ladera Ranch, CA office.

Job Duties: In charge of property financial statement review. Produce journal entries, account reconciliations, and other duties. Responsible for posting accounts receivable transactions and handling bank deposits. Record property operating activities. In charge of analyzing budget and actual results to report variances; as well as support integration of new acquisitions as needed. Must prepare monthly balance sheets and income statements; and prepare supplemental financial schedules. Respond to and provide additional support/explanations and ad hoc analyses in support of the Joint Ventures and requests from the Joint Venture partner. 10% regional, company paid travel is required.

Job Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field and one (1) year of experience as a financial analysist, financial manager, accountant or related.

Special Requirements: Experience must include one (1) year of experience in each of the following:

" Preparing cash basis and GAAP financial statements

" Conducting financial analysis utilize Great Plains and FRx software

" Income tax, Financial & Valuation Modeling

" Managing overall financial reporting framework, budget analysis and variance explanations

Salary: $84,000 - $94,000/year. Benefits: medical, dental, vision, & basic life insurance. Paid vacation & holidays, parental leave, annual bonuses & 401k. 40 hours per week. EOE
