Description

Nielsen helps media companies better understand viewers, listeners and the industry as a whole. Whether your business is a movie studio, radio station, online portal, a new cable network or a local affiliate - Nielsen will provide the insights for audience measurement, advertising effectiveness and overall marketing performance and cross-platform strategies.

Summary

The HRBP is an integral part of the HR team. In this important role, your responsibilities will include a variety of key duties including recruitment, employee relations, employee development, advising line managers on HR policies and procedures, working closely with line management on HR and business needs, and key HR initiatives.

Recruitment

* Manage recruitment workflow.
* Partner with hiring managers to assess recruitment needs.
* Partner with hiring managers and Staffing Center on innovative sourcing strategies for critical, difficult-to-fill positions.
* Partner with management to prepare and maintain job descriptions for each position.

Compensation & Benefits

* Participate in the implementation and management of compensation initiatives to ensure that compensation practices are linked in the overall strategy to attract, reward, and retain top talent.
* Drive Nielsen Meritocracy.
* Facilitate annual performance and incentive planning and review.
* Provide support to management on requests of data analysis and ad-hoc reporting.

Organizational Development

* Assists in the development, implementation and facilitation of training and development initiatives to meet the specific business needs of the organization and create a high performance workforce.
* Assists in quality/effectiveness reviews of training initiatives.

Employee Relations

* Partners with managers on a variety of employee relations issues and escalates to HR VP as necessary.
* Conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
* Answers general benefits questions and resolves issues with Fidelity and/or corporate benefits as necessary.

SAP Data Management

* Accountable for overall data management within SAP.
* Monitors SAP/HRIS to ensure that reporting structures/job titles/cost centers are correct and maintained within SAP.
* Prepares and updates organization charts.
* Trains managers and employees on proper use of Self and Manager Services systems.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree required.
* Minimum 5 years of solid HR generalist experience, entertainment industry experience preferred.
* Advanced knowledge of California employment law.
* Ability to affect change and drive results.
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Solid time management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects.
* Strong business orientation.
