Atria Del Rey Assisted living is currently seeking a Full-Time Housekeepers.

At Atria, we work one-on-one with our residents and their families to create a quality of life we all wish for our loved ones.

We are a 102-bed Assisted Living community serving the elderly. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean environment for residents and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Housekeeper Services

  • Cleans public areas and resident's apartments, including bathrooms, kitchens, patios & windows, florrs, furniture and common areas
  • Performs all housekeeping duties including; distributing laundered articles and linens; replacing and hanging draperies; changing beds; cleaning public restrooms and replenishing supplies as needed; sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors; cleaning rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies; dusting furniture and equipment; polishing metalwork; washing walls, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills
  • Works in the main laundry room to wash, dry, fold, and iron sheets, linens, etc
  • Keepes utility and storage rooms in clean orderly condition
  • Disinfects and sterilizes equipment and supplies
  • Stocks cleaning cart with supplies
  • Empties wastebaskets, and transports trash and waste to disposal area
  • Ensures with maintenance that trash and dumpster areas are clean
  • Completes a maintenance work order for any maintenance repairs needed
  • Reports resident issues or changes in health or living status promptly
  • Arrives to work on time
  • Absence and tardiness is minimal
  • Appearance is neat, clean, and according to dress code
  • Other duties are assigned

    Quality & Safety
  • Operates cleaning equipment such as: mangle, iron, washer & dryer, brooms, mops, etc
  • Reads labels and instructions for all chemicals used in the community for safe use
  • Observes safety and security procedures
  • Uses equipment and materials properly
  • Reports potentially unsafe conditions
  • Demonstrates accuracy and throuroughness in work performed

  • Influences others in a positive way
  • Often performs "forgotten jobs" without being asked
  • Willingly offers training and support to new or less experienced staff
  • Looks for ways to improve and promote quality
  • Offers suggestions for improving work

    Skills / Requirements

    Must have previous housekeeping experience. Experience in a hospitality, health care or assisted living setting is ideal.
