Location: California-Palmdale
Reports to F35 Palmdale Structures Design/Liaison Manager. Candidate will be a member of the JSF Engineering Material Review Board responsible for coordination and disposition of all types of metallic and advanced composite structures, as well as assembly anomalies associated with installation of these parts. Candidate will process Material Review Board (MRB) Nonconformance Reports (tags), engineering change requests, supplier generated MRB tags and RC/I's (Request for Change/Information). The selected candidate will work with Customer, Operations, Quality Assurance and Engineering Design organizations in/on problem resolution(s). Key skills necessary to provide high quality, rapid and cost-effective dispositions of hardware nonconformances experienced during build, installation, test flight line and operational environments.
Skills / Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
BS in an engineering or technical degree plus a minimum of 9-years related experience in a manufacturing, engineering or product support environment is required. Position requires working knowledge of airframe Structures Design using CATIA-V5 parametric solid modeling for conceptual layouts and load path development, assembly layouts, and detail part development; extensive technical experience in formulating and coordinating technical repairs of damaged metallic and composite structures. Position requires excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, as well as broad based technical knowledge in a military aviation environment. Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance is required. Ability to obtain/retain MRB certification is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Structures Design, Liaison, or Analysis experience on F-35 Program or other fighter and MRB certification is also preferred. (JSFP )
