Jobing Description


Employee Assistant Program Specialist with Customer Oriented focus. The EAP Specialist is responsible for providing telephonic assessment and solution focused consultation. Provide assessment and triage, short-term problem resolution, authorization and referrals for routine and crisis callers. Determine member eligibility and benefit coverage and triage as appropriate. Serves as a resource to those calling their Employee Assistance Program.


Monday - Friday business hours/no weekends


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound calls for EAP and Behavioral Health

  • Assessment and triage, short-term problem resolution, authorization and referrals for routine and crisis callers

  • Provice solution focused consultation to assist member with issue resolution

  • Determine member eligibility and benefit coverage and triage as appropriate

  • Update and enter clinical notes in care management database

    Skills / Requirements


  • Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field

  • Excellent communication skills, ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment

  • Basic computer proficiency





  • Preferred Assets:

  • Prior Call Center experience

  • 2+ years post graduate EAP work experience

  • CEAP (or eligible)

  • Prior experience in both Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse
