Our next Director of Business Intelligence will lead an analytics team of nearly 20 people split evenly between San Jose and India delivering actionable recommendations at high tempo across the $20B+ eBay marketplace for North America. This team covers both broad business topics as well as deep vertical understanding for Electronics, Motors, Fashion and emerging opportunities. You will bring deep experience in analytics combined with great people skills, commitment to growing the careers of your team, strength at business partnering and clear communication. Strong familiarity with complex modeling and scenario planning represents a meaningful advantage. Disciplined process management is a must. North America is the flagship platform for eBay, enabling hundreds of millions of transactions between millions of buyers and sellers. This role encompasses understanding the complex dynamics in the marketplace and partnering directly with the general managers for our managed verticals to drive end-to-end growth through vertical specific initiatives including buyer experience, selection and cross border trade. This position will report into the Senior Director of FP&A for eBay NA. You will work regularly with the NA Finance and Analytics leadership team, including the NA CFO. |

Skills / Requirements
- Experience leading and developing a team of financial and/or business analysts- Strong academic profile with an emphasis on quantitative coursework- 10+ years experience in finance/analytics/consulting, ideally at a management consulting firm or company with strong financial & analytical ethics & needs.- Expert Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills; experience with database query tools (e.g., SQL) helpful, or at least the willingness & ability to learn the basics of our data warehouse architecture.
