Monarch HealthCare is currently searching for a highly experienced Director, Financial Planning and Analysis. In this director role, you will be a key member of the finance leadership team with primary responsibility for system wide financial planning, budgeting, reporting and analysis. This position reports directly to the CFO. The Director will work to enhance the analytical capabilities of the Financial Planning and Analysis team and expand its support of executive management and finance operation functions.
Responsibilities:
1. Accurately generate forecasts and analyze trends in membership, revenue, medical costs, SG & A, product line profitability and other areas of business
2. Proactively monitor trends to identify risks and opportunities across key revenue and expense categories
3. Make recommendations to keep performance on track as appropriate
4. Partner with business leaders to evaluate investment opportunities and cost savings initiatives to maximize resources and create efficiencies
a. Collaborate with cross-functional teams in conjunction with budgeting and forecasting process
b. Prepare cost benefit analysis of capital projects or new business ideas
c. Monitor results of key strategic initiatives to ensure cost benefit projections are being achieved or plans are adjusted accordingly
5. Develop processes and structure to support robust and flexible Activity Based Cost reporting and analysis
6. Develop processes and structure to support robust and flexible Fixed/Variable reporting and analysis
7. Establish benchmarks and scorecards to assist leadership in managing the fiscal discipline of their functions. Effectively partner with business unit leaders to create solid understanding of key financial metrics and how to track for desired results

Skills / Requirements

* Bachelor‚s degree (BA) from four year college or university; a minimum of ten years related experience and/or training preferably in health care
* 5-7 years managerial/supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA and CPA strongly preferred.
* Exceptional leadership skills, able to recruit, develop and retain top financial talent, able to coach and mentor both financial staff and across the organization
* Stellar communication skills both written and oral; able to communicate complex financial information to non-financial personnel
* Able to direct and motivate others; strong focus on positive teambuilding skills
* Demonstrated ability to understand business and financial information with the ability to drive business performance in a high growth environment
* Identify opportunities to improve and develop the business
* Able to anticipate planning, forecasting and operational issues; determine the impact, develop and implement an appropriate plan of action
* Stellar communication skills with the ability to positively influence both internal and external stakeholders
* Able to work in a collaborative fashion that garners positive influence across a matrix environment to drive revenue enhancement and expense management initiatives that ensure relationship building and performance results are met
* Able to set aggressive goals and deliver results
* Structure business disciplines to facilitate quick and data based decisions and ensure accountability for execution
* Able to understand and lead the organization through large change efforts; be the change agent within the finance department and throughout the organization
