Location: California-Redondo Beach

The Space SystemsSatellite Communications Business Development Director leads a team of 3 senior BD leaders responsible for developing and executing campaigns in support of Space Systemscommunications programs, products and services. This expanding market includes space-based communications systems, airborne communications systems, terminals, and commercial communications opportunities. This director develops and manages customer relationships across the entire product lifecycle from pursuit to deployment. Also participates in all aspects of the Business Acquisition Process including competitive assessments; capture strategy development; proposal development; and enterprise strategic planning. Director will Interact with a breadth of customer organizations including Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center, Air Force Space Command, NASA, Restricted and Commercial customer organizations. Moderate travel required.

Skills / Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
Technical Bachelors degree (or equivalentrelated experience)with 20 years relevant experience and background in Military Satellite Communications systems, products and missions; Masters and 18 yrs. Secret security clearance with SCI required.

Preferred Qualifications:

A breadth of understanding of NorthropGrumman's key customers,key missions and core products and capabilities.Existing relationships with Military, Civil, Restricted, and commercial customers (e.g. Air Force Space Command, SMC, NASA and Restricted).Direct, personal experience capturing new business with these same customers.Knowledge of these customer's acquisition processes/practices.Working knowledge of the NGC Business Acquisition Process.Proven leadership expertise.
