The Vehicle Systems Engineering Center of Excellence is looking for a summer intern interested in working in areas of: Vehicle Requirements and Verification, Vehicle Architecture and Design Integration, or Vehicle Analysis and Operability all concentrated on the Air side of NGAS. Candidate will be part of a system engineering team for a DoD program. Candidate will also be required to interface with other system and sub-system or segment engineers on a regular basis. Leadership, excellent interpersonal skills, and teamwork are all essential.
Skills / Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of3 years college experience towards a BS degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, math, physics, or other related field, or current enrollment as a graduate student (MS or PhD) in one of the above fields.
Overall minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills needed.
An interest in pursuing system engineering as a career is preferred.
Minimum GPA of 3.3/4.0 is preferred.
DoD Secret and/or SSBI clearance preferred.
Prior internship(s) and/or class projects related to space systems design/architecture is desirable.
Experience with standard system engineering tools such as DOORS or MATLAB are a plus.
