Come join our community dedicated to the service of senior adults! We are faith-based, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community offering independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing care for nearly 500 senior residents. Our 28 landscaped acres overlook Sweetwater Lake in Spring Valley.

We are currently seeking a part-time Care Attendant in our 48-bed assisted living residence. Must be available to work weekends. Duties include caregiving, housekeeping, assisting with resident activities, medication pass and responding to emergencies as necessary.

Days vary. Shifts are 4:00PM-8:00PM. Weekend availability preferred.

Skills / Requirements

Requirements include:

1. Prior caregiving experience preferred. Previous experience with activities a plus.
2. Current certification preferred, but not required.
3. Current certification for passing medications preferred; or, must be able to obtain within orientation period.
4. Must be able to read and write English in order to maintain proper records. Must be able to communicate in English with residents and staff.
5. This position requires the ability to work independently, organizing own schedule and duties in order to complete each shifts' responsibilities. Must have good interpersonal skills. The ability to understand and show compassion and patience to senior adults is essential. Must be dependable, have good judgment and initiative. Must have knowledge of and skill in taking and recording vital signs.
