SUMMARY
Provides guests with Viejas Guest Service Standards while accurately and expediently performing cash, coin, chip, credit cards, and check cashing transactions. Prepares and pays out slot transactions, conducts fill/credit chip transfers, and sells surplus inventory to the appropriate bank. Operates and maintains all machinery used in the day-to-day operations. Balances the bank inventory at the end of each shift and reports any discrepancies to the manager or supervisor on duty.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs all essential duties and responsibilities while complying with governmental laws and regulations, casino and departmental policies and procedures, Title 31 Regulations, Minimum Internal Control Standards, and Tribal Gaming Commission Regulations.
Observes all department job task standards related to the handling of assigned cash drawers and bank funds.
Balances the drawer at the end of shift and reports any discrepancies (shortages or overages) on the appropriate documentation.
Consistently conducts accurate coin, chip, slot machine tickets, and, cash handling transactions.
Processes checks, credit/debit card transactions, promotional vouchers, gift cards, safety deposit box, and foreign currency exchanges.
When assigned to Team Member windows, issues, replenishes, and receives banks from casino team members, and prepares and pays out jackpot/promotional payouts;
When assigned to the Fill Bank, processes gaming chip fill/credit requests with Table Games Department team members, and chip transfers with Cage Operations team members.
When assigned to the Marker Bank and High Limit Area, processes credit markers, front money, and safekeeping transactions.
Maintains cleanliness of assigned work area.
Maintains and operates all machinery used to perform day-to-day functions, including currency counters, coin counters, coin carts and computers.
Protects company assets and reports any fraudulent activity.
Practices Viejas Guest Service Standards while performing job duties and responsibilities.
Performs all related and compatible duties as assigned.

Skills / Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
* 1+ years of high volume cash handling experience, preferably working as a cage cashier, bank teller, retail store checker, or in a related area
* Basic mathematic skills
* 10-key by touch
* Excellent guest/team member relations skills
* Good verbal and written communications skills
* Ability to maintain accurate records
* Must be a self-starter, punctual and able to adjust to change
* Ability to work in a fast paced, high stress environment
