Job Description:
As a Business Systems Analyst you'll understand or study the needs of our software systems and the needs of our customers. You'll work with various kinds of people at different levels from CEOs, to End Users, to Partners in gathering logical specifications for our software systems. You'll search for solutions regarding business problems that can be moderate to big in size. Carrying out research which is required for formulating technical design and functionality to enable the business application systems to be implemented efficiently and to reach specific business needs. This position typically does not involve hands-on programming, but will focus on the analysis, definition, and logical design of our software systems.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
* Manages integrated functionality, usability, reliability, performance, and support requirements of a system. Also partners with business areas for requirements gathering sessions.
* Creates feature test strategies and environment needs.
* Provides the link between the technical and business views of the system by ensuring that the technical solutions being developed will satisfy the needs of the business.
* Creating User Requirements Documents for the overall design of software product features.
* Assists in developing technical documentation and proactive identification of additional documentation needs.
* May coordinate with off-shore team and collaborate to accomplish objectives and voluntarily shares information, while fostering teamwork.
* Contributes proactively to the improvement of processes and/or programs.
* Develops solutions to complex problems, which require out of the box thinking and creativity.
* Provide Technical Training to Sales, Technical Support and Professional Services.
* Conducts User Acceptance software testing and creates feature test strategies and environment needs for Quality Control Team.
* Handle 3rd level escalated support situations.
Skills:
* Education Required: Bachelors
* Minimum of 3 years of technology experience with at least 1 years programming applications.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a business environment in areas related to HR, Payroll, Accounting, or IT.
* Knowledge of a variety of technologies and/or the ability to understand technology dependencies and manage technology integration is required.
* Prior experience in a client facing role is such as Consulting, Technical Support or Professional Services is desired.
* Extensive knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, and enterprise software applications.
* Working knowledge of networking, databases, and user support.
* Good background in Database design in Microsoft SQL. Oracle and ProvideX a plus.
* Experience in writing programs in Microsoft .NET, Visual Basic, Java or HTML languages a plus.
* Good working knowledge skills with Microsoft Office Products.
* Ability to work flexible hours, both independently and in a team environment.
* Ability to work in a high pressure environment with changing priorities and to occasionally communicate online at night with offshore team in Vietnam. Vietnamese speaking a plus.
