Our company is seeking a Associate Buyer to work with vendors and select products for test. A qualified associate buyer will identify, negotiate, and contract with new and existing vendors to test products in upcoming mailings. You will work as part of the buyer team and present those new products to upper management, complete paperwork to close mailings on goal and on time, ensure advertising on test products is complete and accurate, and conduct final checks on all new test mailings to ensure ads are correct.
Requirements:
-Preferably at least 6-12 months previous retail buying or merchandising experience, or 1 year Business-to-Business sales directly dealing with vendors and/or suppliers, or any combination totaling 1 year.
-Ability to identify market and pricing trends.
-Strong negotiating skills.
-Established book of business strongly preferred.
